words to ponder

"My worst nightmare is that I wake up single and I haven't started my family yet."

[quote taken from a woman's testimony offered in my home ward in California on July 3rd.]

I really don't know where to begin with this one.
Ack! If that's her worst nightmare I think she's lived a very sheltered life.
Ahh ahhh ahhh!

THIS is why we feel pressured!

Gah! Can we start a Reorganized Single Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?
Yeah, see, I have some thoughts on where to begin. And they include a whole lotta @#$%s. Plus maybe a crowbar.
It's like my sister-in-law says, "I just feel sooooo sorry for all those single people. I'm soooo glad I'm married and don't have to worry about that anymore." EXCUSE ME!? You were single for, what, like, 20 minutes? You got married less than one year after graduating high school. Also, are you even AWARE that I'm still single? What ever happened to sensitivity.

Wait...was I just yelling? I'm so embarrassed...
Wow! That's her worst nightmare. She has never had any fun then. How old is this woman? I can't believe people still need men and children to validate their lives. It's sad. She should have been enough on her own and then gotten married and had kids. It's all backwards.
